Conze 1860, 206: “Kopséh” was the name applied to the upper reaches of the stream that formed the western boundary of the sanctuary.
Katsanis 1996, 206: “Τ' Κόψ τ' ασβιστουκάμινου (Στoυ Κόψη το ασβεστοκάμινο)” (“The limekiln at the Cut”) or “Τ'Κόψη τ'ρυάκι (Το Κόψη τοu ρυάκι)” (“the cut’s stream”). The name of a small stream at Paliopoli that passes by the chapel of Agia Paraskevi and ends in the Sea. The surname Κόψης (Kopsis) is no longer used on the island.
