Notes
SH20250717: Manolis Stergiou says that Antrachlia (pronounced “Antaachliá” in Samothracian dialect) is a tree with conspicuous red branches that can be found in the area of Fonias and along other rivers. It is a wild form of strawberry without fruit, but has an aromatic flower that produces excellent honey and is the reason that the honey produced between Kariotes and Fonias is the best. However, he has not seen it in Palieopoli, which he presumes is because there is not enough water, but supposes that there could have been antrachlia trees here in the past.
