Notes
SH 20250713: Apostollos Vasdekis says the word «αμπατή» is the term for the opening/gate in the wall for a field («εισοδος στο χωράφι»), but did not know a location in Paleopoli with this name. When I told him that Katsanis reported that this was the name for the opening in the ancient wall, he said that this made sense but did not know the place name.
SH 20250707: Thanasis Sarantos said he knew Αγία Αμπατή as a small church on the mountain near Profitis Ilias. Dimitris Matsas surmised that this church, Αγία Αμπατή, is the local variant for Αγία Υπαπαντή (the Presentation of Christ) with a feast day of February 2nd (Candlemas), but Thanasis Sarantos disagreed about the feast day and identification.
